The incumbent is required to perform compliance verification duties under the guidance of the Inspectorate Director. This includes conducting inspections and field visits to companies, firms, non-profit organizations, and non-governmental organizations to ensure that the beneficial ownership information on the records of the Companies Registry is accurate and consistent with the information held by these entities. The role requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards.

• Conducts inspections and field visits to verify the consistency of beneficial ownership information between companies, firms, non-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and the records of the Companies Registry.
• Supports the Inspectorate Director by preparing inspection reports on compliance and documenting discrepancies identified during field visits.
• Assists in investigations related to inconsistencies or suspected non-compliance by collecting and analyzing relevant documentation.
• Ensures confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information in accordance with organizational and legal requirements.
• Identifies and reports risks or irregularities related to compliance, fraud, or inaccurate reporting.
• Participates in periodic training and skill development to remain updated on inspection protocols and regulatory changes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Inspectorate Director.

• Working knowledge of corporate registry systems and beneficial ownership laws and regulations.
• Understanding of compliance and investigation techniques.
• Familiarity with the operational structure of companies, non-profit organizations, and NGOs.
• Basic knowledge of relevant legal frameworks governing companies, NPOs, and NGOs.

• Ability to conduct thorough inspections and ensure accuracy in data collection.
• Proficient in preparing inspection reports and documenting findings.
• Strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive or private information.
• Ability to review and verify documentation with attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills for reporting findings and interacting with stakeholders.
• Ability to work within a team and liaise with external entities during inspections.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in regulatory inspections, compliance, or a related field.
• Associate’s Degree or diploma in Law, Business, Finance, or a related area.
• Experience conducting field inspections and preparing reports.
• Familiarity with the regulations surrounding corporate transparency and non-profit organizations.
• Any other equivalent combination of training and experience.

• More than 10 years’ experience in a commercial registry at a supervisory level
